A flower's appeal is in its contradictions so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect. Adabella Radici
about vivid flowers

FLORAL CONCEPTIONS

Conceived from a passion for the beauty of flowers and the natural world, VIVID's ethos is to bring the visual and fragrant delicacies of nature directly to your interior.

Fascinated by colour, texture and form, Rowena Ramsay left a horseracing background to study Floral Design at McQueen's, London in 2005. Her creative flair and keen eye for detail brought immediate employment with McQueen's course tutor, Christopher Jones, with whom she created dramatic floral arrangements for hotels and events across London. Rowena continued to work freelance in Berkshire/ Wiltshire for several renowned florists, where she lapped up ideas and inspiration before returning to her native Scotland in 2006.

THE VIVID APPROACH

VIVID takes inspiration from design and fashion in clothing and interiors, embracing the subtle changes in colour and form, while keeping a watchful eye on nature and the seasons.

VIVID creates arrangements to match the client's needs, complementing and enhancing the style of venues. From classic to futuristic, from sumptuous to simple, there are endless possibilities for floral designs that express what you want to convey - whether it be a certain look, an event theme or a corporate identity.

As part of the service, VIVID likes to visit each venue, believing that the materials, style and location should all complement one another to create a harmonious whole.

ETHICAL FLOWERS

Behind the colourful scenes in flower shops and supermarkets, the global flower market is not always environmentally friendly or ethical. Carbon footprints are high from forced growing techniques, refrigeration and transport across the world. Flower pickers in certain countries are exposed to noxious pesticides, and irrigation schemes can cause local food crops to fail.

As an effort to help these environmental and social issues, VIVID strives to use Scottish and British grown flowers and foliage whenever possible.
